VDI wins two prizes at the German Brand Award 2024

In 2022, the largest brand relaunch in the history of the VDI began. Together with the community and a unique multidisciplinary network of around 130,000 members, the VDI is a driving force for technical progress, a forward-looking companion, a versatile knowledge multiplier and a sought-after partner for business, politics and science. All this is reflected in the new brand strategy and is rewarded. The VDI won two awards in the "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation" category. It was awarded the highest accolade, "Best of Best: Brand Strategy of the Year", and also won the "Brand Design – Corporate Brand" award.

The jury recognised that the VDI's achievements in both the strategy and execution of the brand relaunch demonstrated outstanding brand work. The VDI, with its unique community for people interested in technology, is not only a leader in terms of content, but also in its presence as a strong brand – both internally and externally.

"Shaping the future together" is the VDI's motto. Translating this vision into a modern brand world is the main goal of the relaunch. This includes, among other things, the new positioning as a "driving force of progress" and a striking logo with a high recognition value that confidently puts the brand in the spotlight. The typography, imagery and colour scheme were also developed to be expressive and dynamic for the new brand identity, which visually emphasises the positioning and makes the VDI tangible as a "shaper of the future".
