The Emsdetten-based surface systems company Agtos is in new hands. The previous shareholders of the shot blasting technology specialist have decided to sell their shares to a subsidiary of the Japanese Sintokogio Group.
Sintokogio is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. With around 50 subsidiaries worldwide, the group is a leading manufacturer of surface technology products and provider of related services.
In a press release, Managing Directors Andreas Bügener and Antonius Heitmann explain this step as a "strategic decision". They hope to achieve further growth through access to Sintokogio's international network. The sale is accompanied by a change in the company name to Sinto Agtos GmbH. Known contacts and contact persons will remain unchanged.
