The Messe Düsseldorf Group is expanding its global network in the growth market of Turkey and, with the leading Eurasian trade fairs for the metallurgy, foundry and aluminum industries - Ankiros/Turkcast and Aluexpo - is gaining three new strong events for its global metal trade fair portfolio.
Two of Germany's largest trade fair companies are pooling their expertise in a joint venture: Messe Düsseldorf and Deutsche Messe AG will each hold a 50 percent stake in "Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcilik A.S." in the future. Company founder Ibrahim Anil will continue to act as Managing Director of the company.
GIFA, METEC, Thermprocess and Newcast, the world's largest trade fairs in the industry, already take place in Düsseldorf under the umbrella of "The Bright World of Metals". In addition, there is a portfolio of foreign trade fairs in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt and Mexico, which is now growing to include Ankiros/Turkcast and Aluexpo in Istanbul. "We are opening up the attractive Eurasian growth market to our customers and strengthening the international competitive position of our company," says Wolfram N. Diener, President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf.
