The current environment with economic challenges and geopolitical uncertainties, as well as the transformation phase of the Additive Manufacturing industry, are putting many companies under considerable pressure. In addition, the clash of dates with RAPID + TCT Detroit is making it more difficult for exhibitors and visitors to commit to one of two important events.
Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH tried to resolve the scheduling situation with all parties involved and players right up to the end, but was ultimately unsuccessful. “After careful consideration and intensive discussions with our key partners, we have jointly decided to postpone the start of Formnext Chicago, which was originally scheduled for 8-10 April 2025. This decision was not taken lightly. We are convinced that it is in the best interests of the industry and the companies involved,” explains Sascha Wenzler, Vice President at Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
In partnership with AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology (organizer of IMTS), Gardner Business Media and Messe Frankfurt USA, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH (organizer of Formnext) is committed to developing a new strategic approach for the US market. “Our priority is to support the buyer and seller community in ways that truly benefit their businesses, and we believe this is the best course of action to achieve that goal.” confirms Douglas Woods, President at AMT. Together with all industry partners, this will ensure that future events are well timed and remain aligned with the needs of the Additive Manufacturing industry.
“We thank our partners and the entire community for their support and understanding and look forward to working together to shape the next steps for Formnext in the US,” adds Petra Haarburger, President at Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
Formnext Chicago aims to introduce this exciting technology and its added value to companies in the USA in particular, who have not yet come into contact with Additive Manufacturing (AM), and to show how AM can be used successfully and profitably on an industrial scale. The partners will continue to pursue this objective. For this reason, strategic considerations are already underway in dialogue with the industry in order to provide even greater support and drive forward the growing industrialization of AM in the USA.
