In June, Creditreform Bielefeld confirmed that Hohnen meets all certification criteria in the areas of resource efficiency, social action and good corporate governance by awarding the EcoZert.
Niels Finsterbusch, Key Account Manager at Creditreform, presented the award on 12 June in the presence of the management and numerous employees. ‘Transparent handling of their own sustainability is becoming increasingly important for companies in order to meet the requirements of customers, suppliers and banks. This Herculean regulatory task can hardly be mastered by small and medium-sized companies alone. And that's exactly where Creditreform comes in with EcoZert,’ said Niels Finsterbusch at the presentation.
Rudolf Hartmann is pleased about the award for sustainable business policy: ‘As a family business and specialist in the wholesale of foundry supplies with over 100 years of tradition, it is important to us to consistently act sustainably’. This is also emphasised by Anna Kulbrock, who is the third generation of her family to manage the company as managing director: ‘We see today's award as confirmation of our efforts in recent years. As a wholesaler, our focus must always be on providing our customers with the best possible support. Creditreform has now confirmed that we are optimally positioned with regard to the special regulatory requirements in our customers‘ ESG environment’.
The EcoZert is a quality seal for companies that act in a particularly sustainable manner and verifies their sustainability measures. In addition, the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LKSG) is also taken into account. The EcoZert qualification form is specifically designed to assess suppliers that are not directly subject to the scope of the LKSG but supply companies that are subject to this law. A granted EcoZert represents a good and sufficient test standard for German and Austrian suppliers in a specific risk analysis.
