In September, Kaeser, Coburg, will be exhibiting oil-lubricated CSD/CSDX and oil-free CSG compressors with low energy and space requirements at EMO 2023 in Hanover.
The most important highlight of the compressors is their lower energy and space requirements, which, according to the manufacturer, are based on several ingenious technical solutions. Both series aim to score with the best possible energy efficiency classes thanks to the drive with modern synchronous reluctance motors and an optimised arrangement of the components, which result in particularly low pressure losses at the unit. This lowers energy costs and reduces the CO2 footprint, among other things.
The CSG series requires 19 % less floor space than its predecessor. The models are available air- or water-cooled, with integrated refrigerant dryer or i.HOC (Heat of Compression dryer) and for volume flows from 4 to 15 m³/min. For applications with fluctuating compressed air demand, speed-controlled "SFC" versions are available. The manufacturer's compressor blocks with efficient Sigma profile are now also installed in the CSG units. The rotors are coated with an in-house developed PEEK coating that promises high wear resistance and is double-fired at over 400 °C.
Also on show at the fair is the Aquamat i.CF condensate conditioner. The oil-water separator is available for delivery rates of up to 90 m³/min and, for the first time, features the internal Aquamat Control. It takes over active process control and is designed to make maintenance work plannable, safe and environmentally friendly.
All of the supplier's screw compressors are produced in Germany. According to the company, they are very durable and a large part of their components can be recycled.
