alpha aluminium acquires 75% of the shares in the Polish ELREC and I.C.I in Brzeg

In autumn 2021, the aluminium companies 3River Metal Group and alpha metall group from Rhineland-Palatinate agreed a forward-looking strategic partnership. The first result of this cooperation was, among other things, the construction of two state-of-the-art, climate-friendly production and storage halls at the Skarbimierz site, near Brzeg (about 50 km east of Wroclaw), with a surface area of around 6,000 square metres, to ensure permanently reliable and market-oriented supply chains with high product quality.

With effect from 1 September 2024, the company alpha aluminium, a member of the alpha metall group, has acquired 75% of the shares in the Polish companies ELREC and I.C.I of the 3River Metal Group. The management of the two companies remains unchanged and continues to be led by Marta Swat, Johann Prandt and Christian Scheid. The latter is also managing director of alpha aluminium. ‘Our goal in making this acquisition is to signal both consistency and reliability and to further expand our core competencies. With our focus on the delivery of high-quality custom profiles, surface finishing, complex mechanical processing and ready-to-install assemblies, we are making a clear statement in the market,’ explains Christian Scheid.
